The Pittsburgh Charity Cup is a youth-led non-profit that combines the excitement of competitive cricket with a deep commitment to giving back to our community.

OUR STORY

WHAT IS THE Pittsburgh Charity Cup?

The Pittsburgh Charity Cup is a U18 charity cricket tournament held in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Founded and organized entirely by high school students, the tournament brings together young cricketers from across Western PA for a weekend of competitive matches, community building, and fundraising. Every dollar raised goes toward providing cricket equipment to kids who want to play but don't have the means. We started small, but our goal is big — make cricket accessible to every young athlete in the region.

WHY WE Started This

We originally started the tournament as a way to bring the Pittsburgh cricket community together, and it went really well with a great turnout and even some profit at the end. But after it was all over, we started asking ourselves what that money was actually for, and it did not feel right to just leave it sitting there. We realized that not everyone has had the same chance to play the game the way we have, with access to proper gear and opportunities, so we decided to use what we made to help kids who do not have those same advantages and turn the Pittsburgh Charity Cup into something that actually gives more people a chance to play.

WHERE YOUR Money Goes

Cricket Equipment

Providing bats, balls, pads, gloves, and stumps for young players who cannot afford their own gear. We source quality equipment and distribute it directly to kids in the Pittsburgh area.

Venue & Tournament Operations

Covering field rentals, safety equipment, match supplies, and everything needed to run a well-organized and competitive tournament weekend.

Youth Cricket Opportunities

Creating meaningful opportunities for young players to compete, gain match experience, and develop their skills through an organized U18 tournament.

Growing the Local Cricket Community

Bringing together players, students, families, and supporters to strengthen and expand the youth cricket community across Western Pennsylvania.
